Hello guys..!!
Now, I'll tell you about my experience on my school's annually program and little bit the program, that is...

Okay, lets check it out.

What is Dewa Athena?
Dewa Athena, is SMAN 3 Bandung's annually sport competition. The competition held in Bali Field (or we usually call it Lapbal). This year, it is Dewa Athena VIII. Dewa Athena is sport competition, which is all class (except class XII) must join on competition. There's many kind of sports in Dewa Athena, i.e. : basketball, football, dodgeball, volleyball, badminton, tug of war, relay run, and gobak sodor. Dewa Athena also test the compactness and solidarity of each class.

What do my friends and I do on Dewa Athena?

Okay, first, I'll tell you that my class is X Science 9. And name of my class is "SISA" well it means remain in English, but it's an acronym, it means "Sepuluh IPA Sembilan Ambis" (X Science Nine Ambitious). Haha, that's freak name, but that's the decision. Oh yes, before Dewa Athena begin, we must choose who the Sportman and the Sportwomen. And finally we choose Hiba and Melody as Sportman and Sportwomen, interesting couple, haha..

First day of Dewa Athena, all of students do a opening ceremony with the committee and Mr. Encang, the headmaster. As a sign opening of Dewa Athena, we blow away many baloons which under the baloons, there's banner that reads "Dewa Athena VIII". Everybody give applause and that's the sign, Dewa Athena VIII begin !! After opening ceremony, all of us must join marathon surrounding SMAN 3, but I didn't feel that's marathon, it felt like jogging :v

After that... wait.. I little bit forget it.. =,=

OHH YES,,

After that, my classmates and I watch many competition in Lapbal, waiting for our turn for the competition. After waiting and waiting, finally first competition, basketball. I didn't get in on that competition. Our opponent was X Science 5. YEAH! WE GOT IT !! Final score is .... uhm, I forgot it,, but who care! We won yeah ...!!! The next competition is tug of war, our class v.s. X Science 4, again, I didn't get in on the competition. But we won again! Alhamdulillah ...

On the next day, finally I got in the competition. Tug of war, my first competition. The opponent was XI Science 7. What the...? They're so strong! We were overwhelmed on the first round. Okay, next round. Focus, focus. Ahh.. what the strong pull ! We didn't get it. We lose, but, there's more competition on Dewa Athena ! Come on guys! Come on X Science 9! And our girls badminton team was success got in Quarter Final! Yeah...

Third day, I played again on the competition. Gobak sodor, the opponent was XI Science 1, I think gobak sodor is interesting game. Our team must pass through five person in front of us without touched! Okay, let's do it! Ical began to got in, yes! The first person successfully passed! But not for the second, Ical touched. Okay, now my friends chance and I! Part of us success passed the person, but just few of us could pass five person, I touched by them... We lose, but that was very fun! We didn't lose our spirit! Volleyball competition X Science 9 got into Quarter Final !! Yeah !! We must waiting for April for the Quarter Final competition.

Alhamdulillah ...!!!

Okay, guys! Maybe that's all from me... I think Dewa Athena is very fun!

Especially if we can more compact and solid!

Education to Build a Better Future for All

                Now, world needs humans who have good quality to make incredible change for the world. Good education is needed to make humans who have good quality like that. Basically, a qualified human born from qualified education.

                There are several things that can make a good education for all, i.e. : focusing on student’s interest, education game, the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities, and building a good character.

                Every person have different interest. This interest will be deciding how a person’s future. Mistake in current education system is taking all subjects for students. An educational system should gives the right to each student to choose their interest subject, not giving all subjects to students. Focusing on student’s interest can make an effectively learning, conversely, if students are learn all subjects, they will confused what subject they would choose. Beside that, focus in one subject can make student skilled on their choosen subject, so they will know what they will be at future.

                Then, education game. Increasingly advanced technology make everybody can’t be separated from their gadget. It can makes positive impact to education, this situation can be used to make an education game for students. Listening explanations of teachers can makes students bored, so teacher should give the subject material from education games, so student wouldn’t bored with their school learn. Teachers can also make a virtual forum that can makes more effectively teaching activities.

                Good system education must also pay attention of the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities. Every school should give more practicum to their students than assignment, it’s wrong if we say that assignment isn’t important, but the assignments should be in accordance with the portion. If the assignments in accordance with the portion, it will not be a burden for the students. Teaching and learning activities time also should not be too long, not time that should be added, but learning material that must be effectuated. For example, teacher make an education application for additional learning, so students can use it everytime.

                Knowledge is Power, but Character is More. That’s my school motto. Knowledge is very important for students, because this is future foundation for them. But, beside knowledge, there is one thing which more important than knowledge, it’s character. Now, character building is more needed than knowledge, because if human has knowledge without charater, not good person will be born, but maybe it will born bad person. So every school must build good character of their students, by holding character building programs beside education programs.

                That things may make good education to build a better future for all, especially the next generation. A good education  will be created, if that’s real action from all of us to support that things.

Unique Architecture in The World ! [Great Sphinx of Giza]

What is The Great Sphinx of Giza ?

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a statue of a reclining sphinx (a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head) that stands on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of Sphinx is generally believed to represent the face of the Pharaoh Khafra. The Sphinx is a monolith carved down into the bedrock of the plateau which also served as the quarry for the pyramids and other monuments in the area.

Sphinx regarded as the guardian of the royal tombs or temples by the ancient Egyptians that is placed around the structure of the building. Face of ancient Egyptian sphinx usually depicting the pharaoh who is regarded as the incarnation of the god of the sun.

How about the ancient Egyptian's Sphinx ?

Sphinx first made during the reign of the ruler of the Fourth Dynasty who ruled from 2723 BC to 2563 BC. The first sphinx believed to represent Queen Hetepheres II of the same dynasty. The sphinx is now kept in the Museum of Cairo, Egypt.

Additionally, it has been found about 900 sphinx in the temple of the god Amun.  
Sphinxes was created by King Ramses II. A statue of the king was also seen in between the two front legs sphinx. 

 

Now, back to Great Sphinx of Giza.

One of all ancient Egyptian Sphinx is the Great Sphinx of Giza. It is the largest and most famous sphinx. The Sphinx is located at the Giza plateau, on the suburbs of Cairo and is part of a complex of ancient pyramids of Giza.

Sphinx of Giza, which has a length of 73.5 meters, 6 meters wide and 20 meters high is the single largest stone structure in the world. Although there is no direct proof of the age, the sphinx believed built around 4,600 years ago. Giza Sphinx faces depicting the fourth dynasty pharaoh Khafra with the symbol of a cobra on his forehead.

Sphinx head is about 10 meters long and 4 meters wide. His eyes have a height of two meters as well as the width of the mouth. While leg lengths ranging from 15 meters. Sphinx of Giza has a stone slab with some inscriptions located between his legs. This slab added to the original monument by King Thutmose IV. Inscription tells the dream of King (Thutmose) so it is also called 'Dream Stela'.

Giza Sphinx was carved directly out of a limestone hill. The structure has several layers of limestone. Compared with other parts of the body, the head made from tougher layer making it more resistant to erosion. On the other hand, the basic structure made from softer layer, so prone to erosion even not long since the sphinx was made.

Oh no! His nose and his beard is missing!

There's two version why Sphinx's nose missing, the one version, according to Arab historian al-Maqrizi, writing in 15th century, the loss of the nose because of the iconoclasm by Muhammad Sa'im al-Dahr, a Sufi Muslim from the Khanqah of Sa'id al-Su'ada. On AD 1378, upon finding the local pleasants make offerings to the Sphinx in the hope to increase their harvest, enraged, he destroyed the nose, and was later hanged because of the vandalism.

The second version, the nose was broken by a cannonball fired by Napoleon's soldiers. And the beard of Sphinx dug up and kept in the British Museum, London.

My Holiday!

            Last holiday, I went to Bekasi with my mother. We went to my sister’s house, her name is Manda. Thursday evening, on 24^th December 2015, my mother and I went to Cipaganti Travel. Actually, we order ticket which the travel would go on afternoon, but route Jakarta to Bandung so traffic jam, it was need 8 – 12 hour to back to Bandung from Jakarta. On 6.00 pm, my mother and I went to Bekasi by Cipaganti Travel.

            My mother sat on the last row, but how badluck I was, I sat beside the driver with a big man. There was so narrow and I wasn’t confident with my trip, but I tried to enjoy the trip, however a big man sat beside me. Because that, I couldn’t take my phone and my foods, so I tried to sleep, but it didn’t work. “Okay, I must enjoy the trip, just look to the view, don’t to him.” I talked to myself.

            Alhamdulillah..!! Finally, on half past 9 we arrived in Cibubur, in Cibubur Cipaganti Travel. I took our bags and bring it to Cipaganti office. In there, my mother and I were waiting for my aunt and her family. Finally, my aunt came with her family, took us to her house in Bekasi. We arrived at my aunt’s house on 9 pm. After I arrived at my aunt’s house, soon I took ablution and pray Isya. After that, I watched television with my sister, after that I slept.

            On the next day, after my uncle and I prayed at mosque, my aunt’s family, my mother, and I went to Botani Square. We play at the game center and we got a lot of tickets! That’s fun, everybody amazed, saw our tickets.

            Third day, we went to Kota Wisata Cibubur and ate in there. I am very surprised! We met Ardin’s mother in there! Oh, actually Ardin’s house is in Kota Legenda, beside Kota Wisata, so in the evening, my mother and I went to Ardin’s house. Wow, what a big house! I met with Ardin’s friend in there and play with them. After that, my mother and I went back to my aunt’s house.

            Next day, my aunt’s family, my mother, and I were invited lunch with Ardin’s family, I surprised again! After that, we went back to home and my mother with me pack our clothes because tomorrow we must went back to Bandung. Last day, we went to Bandung again and arrived in Bandung on evening.

            Second week of holiday, I just watching television and playing game at home. But on the last week, I started to play bicycle again and tried to cycle to SMAN 3 Bandung. On Thursday, I went to school and met Irvan and Nabhan. And Saturday I back to school again and met DKM and make short funny video with them.
